Graphical algorithm editor in the browser

A few months ago a colleague of my research group told me WebGL was going to be the next revolution for customization. He showed me some experiments on the web and we discuss that sooner or later someone would develop CAD tools to interact. MatterMachine is the beta solution for that idea, as it will bring  to the browser Grasshopper’s visual editing approach.

Although I think the normal user won’t be immersed in the code, it is a great tool for designers and hardcore DIY’ers.

  1. FWIW, it’s not WebGL, but using the Unity game engine as a browser plugin. Works on the Desktop only. But if they’d publish the “game” to mobile stores, it could work on smartphones and tablets too.
